About FOCUS + Pittsburgh’s Free Health Center
Established as a Volunteer in Medicine (VIM) facility, the Free Health Center has a team of Volunteer Medical Professionals who provide skilled and compassionate care, while nonclinical volunteers provide help with answering patient phone calls and assisting with applications for care. Our volunteers together with our staff care for patients according to the VIM’s “culture of caring” model that values how an individual is treated just as much as the treatment they receive.
